School Allergy List — avoid sending these items to school
We have children in our schools with life-threatening allergies. Please check this list and remember it can change with the addition of new students.
All Peanut Products (examples are peanut butter or peanut oil or peanuts etc.),
Tree Nuts (examples are almonds or coconuts or pine nuts or pecans and many more)
Take care when sending all foods to school as some children can have mild to severe allergic reactions. Consider ingredients used in home-cooked items, for example, did you use peanut oil in a recipe?
Report any missing allergy information for your school through our contact form; please let us know the name of the school.
Basketball, volleyball, cross country running, floor hockey, and baseball for students in grades 6 to grade 8. Curling for students in grades 3 - 8. Track and field for students in grades 1 - 8.

After School Program at St. Edward Catholic School
The Growing Young Movers (G.Y.M) Program will be starting on January 18th. This is an after-school program being offered by SNCDSB in partnership with the Red Rock Indian Band. It will run Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:45 pm for students Gr. 5-8. SGDSB students are also invited to attend. GYM will teach personal and social responsibility all while creating a learning space in the gymnasium. It’s all about creating a community and taking care of each other. It is an evidence based program that has seen some school boards attendance improve by 90%. If you wish to volunteer or want more info please contact Crystal @ 889-2005. Please stay tuned for more sharing on this new initiative!
