Reporting your child's absence from School:
Parents of students who know ahead of time that their child(ren) is going to be late or absent from school are requested to notify the school by sending a note to their child's teacher(agenda) or by calling the school.
On mornings where your child is going to be late arriving at school or is going to be absent because of a sudden illness, etc., please phone the school as soon as possible that morning. If no one is at the school please leave a message on our answering machine. This will avoid any unnecessary phone calls to be made. Parents/guardians of children who are absent without explanation will be called by the school secretary.
Please remember to notify us when your child is going to be late or away from school to avoid being disturbed at home or at work.
If your child is arriving late to school in the morning or after lunch, he or she must report to the office for a late slip.

We have children in some of our schools with life-threatening allergies. Please check this list and remember it can change with the addition of new students.
Some children can have mild to severe allergic reactions. Consider ingredients used in home-cooked items; for example, did you use peanut oil in a recipe?

Initiatives
Catholic Education, Virtue of the Month
Extracurricular Activities
Our school has regular school masses. We also celebrate the virtue of the month at our monthly prayer services and student of the month assemblies. This year we hope to also have a school choir.
Extracurricular Sports
Every year we start with our in-school cross country running/jogging/walking for our entire school. After school practices are also offered to students in grades 3 to 8. Younger students are invited to participate in these sessions if asked by the coaches. We have intramural floor hockey for grades JK to 8 during the winter and spring. This year there will also be mini stick with a tournament for students in grades one to three. Regular floor hockey is provided for students in grades four to eight with a tournament. Baseball, volleyball and baseball are also offered to students in grades 5 to 8 with tournaments. Track and field occurs in June.
