Holy Angels Grade 3 Students put on a Play

On May 21st Holy Angel School’s Grade 3 students performed the Musical Production: Once Upon A Lily Pad. Students sang, danced and acted. The audience was welcomed to the stage pond with croaking frog sound effects and students portraying alligators travelling on scooters.

The audience was full of relatives, HAS students and staff. The plot is of a troubled young frog, who doubts his ability as a frog! Freddie the frog played by Diana Figliomeni encounters numerous pond wildlife who both inspire and assist him to be himself. Freddie encountered a small flock of egret birds played by Ian Bottomley, Lexi Armstrong and Miss S. Pankuch. Freddie learns that nature’s design includes feathers, wings, flippers and fins! Freddie wishing he could fly realizes that he is unable too and soon meets a group of young turtles played by Alyson Chasse, Michaila Kinney and Connor Gionet.

Freddie learns to come out of his shell and then is almost lured into the Deep Water, by sneaky snakes who try to lead him astray played by Ian Bottomley, Connor Gionet and Miss S. Pankuch. Freddie is saved by trustworthy alligators who police the pond and remind him to always listen to his parents played by Michaila Kinney and Lexi Armstrong.
