St. Brigid learns about government

The grade 4/5/8 students of St. Brigid Catholic School have been working on explaining the process of electing governments in Canada.

They decided to conduct their own vote by following the election process. They made up rules for the process they are going to follow.

For example: they decided that only one person was able to touch the ballots, all voters must sign in before they vote so they cannot vote twice, ballots that are marked incorrectly are not counted, and voters must be two and up.

The students created posters of different types of cakes, then, went to the Northern Store to ask people of Nakina to vote for their cake party.

When they returned they counted the ballots to see which cake party was elected.
