St. Hilary with Science North

St. Hilary School students enjoyed a variety of hands on science activities with Science North on Monday, December 5th. Students learned about the following topics:

Building a Healthy Body, Predator or Prey and Water in the Environment.

All of the students gathered in the gym for a whole school science show from 1:30 to 2:20. The students learned about the different principals of air. They saw a ping pong ball levitated by a blow dryer and a beach ball levitated by a leaf blower. They also saw an experiment with a laundry hamper which demonstrated how vortexes occur. The students saw so many neat things and everyone throughly enjoyed the Science North experience!
