Arts Lead and Mentor
Superior North Catholic District School Board welcomes Ms. Tammy Wilson as our new Arts Lead & Mentor.
Ms. Tammy Wilson has thirty years of experience in the performing arts as a singer performer, and twenty years of experience in performing arts education. She has worked for the Toronto Catholic District School Board, English Montreal School Board and Lester B. Pearson School Board as a Vocal Music Teacher, Dance and Drama teacher.
Ms. Wilson has also been a choral music director for Children’s choirs for fifteen years, as a director and choreographer. As an enthusiastic director of special events and community fundraisers, she loves to include and engage student performers of all ages in these events.
Ms. Wilson loves working with students of all ages and believes that the educational experience should be a lot of fun!! She has provided many performing opportunities for her students and understands that student performances can uplift the greater community at large.
Ms. Wilson has a passionate faith life and she is an active member in her church where she has initiated adult education programs that reveal that we are stronger together in our rich diversity.
Ms Wilson is very excited to take on this position! She has a great passion for leadership and sincerely hopes to create great opportunities for teachers and students to explore the wonderful potential of including the performing arts in our schools at Superior North Catholic District School Board.
She is looking forward to being part of the community here in Terrace Bay and looks forward to travelling in the region to bring the gift of the arts to all of our schools!
