Kindergarten students investigate "What Animals do in the Fall to Prepare for Winter"
The Holy Angels Catholic School Kindergarten class have been investigating what animals do in the Fall to prepare for winter.
They focused on animals that live in our area and through books, videos, and outdoor exploration they have discovered that our animals with either hibernate, migrate or adapt and stay out all winter long.
The Kindergarten students each picked an animal that hibernates and with the help of the Gr. 5/6 students researched what kind of shelter they would need. While out on one of our nature walks we collected materials that our animals might need in their homes and brought them to the Makers Space in the Learning Commons to finally build our Hibernation Homes.
