Superior North Catholic District School Board (SNCDSB) welcomes Mr. Nathan Jankowski as our new MISA/Data Lead.
Mr. Nathan Jankowski has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree, as well as a GIS-Applications Specialist postgraduate certificate. Upon completing his post-secondary studies, Mr. Jankowski worked as a GIS Technician in Northern BC where he managed and analyzed spatial data for a forestry company.
This background of analyzing and managing spatial data, eventually led him to a Statistics position at Lakehead University. Upon having great success in this position, Mr. Jankowski decided to pursue a career in teaching.
Mr. Jankowski has worked for several School Boards including SNCDSB. During the past five years he has gained tremendous insight into managing student data for purposes of achievement.
Mr. Jankowski is looking forward to combining his work experiences with his passion for teaching to improve our understanding of achievement data, and to find correlations that will lead to improving academic excellence Board wide. He understands the need for keeping data concise and accurate so that Principals, Teachers, and SNCDSB administration can best use it to make informed decisions regarding student achievement and well-being.
Mr. Jankowski can’t wait to get started in his new position as the MISA/DATA Lead and is thrilled to continue to work for Superior North Catholic District School Board.
