New COVID-19 Mental Health Resource Hub Provides Canada's Youth Easy-Access to Support
Jack.org, School Mental Health Ontario and Kids Help Phone launch a COVID-19 Mental Health Resource Hub, to provide Canada's youth with easy-to-access education, tools, support and the reliable information they need, all in one place. The hub was developed in response to a surge in demand for self-care resources, mental health education and trusted support services during this global pandemic. Kids Help Phone has seen an increase in service demand of more than 300% over the last 2 weeks. It's imperative that we keep mental health top of mind as we all navigate these extraordinary times of physical isolation and reduced access to in-person community services. For more information, or to access the COVID-19 Mental Health Resource Hub, visit Jack.org/covid.
The Covid-19 Mental Health Resource Hub consists of multimedia; featuring downloadable PDFs, social media posts, and videos, as well as direct links to support services, apps and resources that promote self-care and social connection.
Topics include:
- How to support positive mental health
- How to be there for others
- How to stay socially connected
- Tips on how to reach out to others while practicing physical-isolation
- How to practice self-care
- National Mental health resources
