
New Elementary School Principal at Our Lady of Lourdes
Superior North Catholic District School Board is pleased to welcome Aaron Baker as our new Elementary Principal at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.
Aaron has been teaching since 2009, working with a wide variety of students ranging from Kindergarten to Adult learners. His career began at Holy Saviour
Catholic School in Marathon and eventually brought him back to his home town of Manitouwadge where he has worked in various teaching roles over
the next few years. Most recently, Aaron has worked as the Board Numeracy Facilitator, where he was able to gain immeasurable experience and skills
as a leader in SNCDSB.
Along with his Leadership role in mathematics learning, Mr. Baker has participated in the New Teacher Induction Plan as a Mentor for new teachers.
He is an advocate for lifelong learning and growth mindsets, and both mental and physical wellness.
Aaron is an active member in the community of Manitouwadge. He has coached Minor Hockey for the last nine years and has been on it’s Board Of Directors
for the last four years.
Two years ago, Mr. Baker was approach to be a young representative on the Board of Trustees for Saunte Manitouwadge Health and is now the Vice-Chair
of the Board.
Aaron is excited to begin his new role in Superior North Catholic DSB and is looking forward to working with all staff, students, parents, parish and
community partners in the fall.
