Ojibwe Legends

Ojibwe Legends

The Native as a  Second Language students at St. Hilary Catholic School in Grade 3 - 8 studied a unit on Storytelling. Students chose an Ojibwe legend to learn about, and used clay to create their characters and painted boxes for their backgrounds. Students used StopMotion and WeVideo to animate the Legends they learned. When working on this project, students had a choice to work individually or in a group.

Erin Roxborough is the Native Language and Culture Teacher at St. Hilary and Sarah Clowes, Technology Enabled Learning Teacher, supported integrating technology into the project.

Students enjoyed the project and persevered through their new learning. Check out their fabulous videos below!
