We are thrilled to welcome Benjamin Jewiss as our

Elementary School Principal at Our Lady of Fatima School

SNCDSB welcomes Benjamin Jewiss as our new Elementary School Principal.

Mr. Benjamin Jewiss has ten years of teaching and leadership experience in communities in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. For the past four years, he has been teaching at St. Brigid School in Nakina where he has worked to implement an original, land- and inquiry-based Ojibwe language and culture program as well as to integrate and celebrate Catholic culture and Gospel values across the curriculum and throughout the community.He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Nipissing University where he specialized in the Education of Native Canadians.

Mr. Jewiss is heavily engaged in the community of Greenstone and in St. Brigid’s Parish in Nakina. He is the Second Vice President and Poppy CommitteeChair for the 116 W. A. “Bill” Grant Branch Of the Royal Canadian Legion and holds the rank of Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, currently serving as the Training Officer and Deputy Commanding Officer of 227 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron based in Geraldton.

Mr. Jewiss is thrilled to be joining the team at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School; believing wholeheartedly in collaboration and the ability of all students to achieve personal greatness and is looking forward to serving its Staff, Students, Communities, and Parish.
