On September 21st, the grade 3 & 4 class at Our Lady of Lourdes in Manitouwadge, ON collected rock samples during their walk to Enn's Hill.
The students labeled their rock collections, classified and documented where they had found their interesting rocks. On their walk, the students were very fortunate to see an exciting rock formation.
It was a great afternoon as some of our parents were able to join us, as well all embraced the wonderful weather and fall scenery.
This opportunity gave our students a chance engage in experiential learning in the outdoors to support what was being taught in the classroom, also a great way to engage parents in their child's learning.Students were true rock hounds!
