St. Martin Catholic School Lenten Activities

During the season of Lent St. Martin Catholic School in Terrace Bay has been learning what it means to enter into a season of spiritual preparation and renewal.

The grade one and two class mixed, rolled and baked the traditional bread of Lent (the pretzel), which represents arms crossed in prayer, as a reminder that prayer is an important part of our Lenten journey.

The grade one and two class has also prepared for their Journey to the Cross through a personal and class Lenten promise, as well as personal Lenten prayers and the reenactment of the Stations of the Cross.

The students learned about forgiveness through a special art project with Ms. Godin and our Faith Formation and Catholicity Coordinator, Sister Stephanie.

Sister Stephanie demonstrated to the class, through a visual using the cross, how our sins are truly forgiven by God.
