Two-Second Prayers by Sister Stephanie Romiti
Adapted from Saints and Feast Days
These “two-second” prayers all come from verses in the Bible.
One practice that is encouraged is memorizing a verse or two. You might even want to challenge yourself to memorize one verse a week! Whatever we feed our minds with also feeds our hearts - whether for good, or not. Let’s feed our hearts with the Word of God this week!
Lord, teach us to pray. (Luke 11:1)
Not my will but Yours be done. (Luke 22:42)
Have mercy on us. (Matthew 9:27)
Truly You are the Son of God! (Matthew 14:33)
Lord, You have the words of eternal life. (John 6:68)
Lord, help me! (Matthew 15:25) My Lord and my God! (John 20:28)
I believe; help my unbelief! (Mark 9:24)
Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to Your word. (Luke 1:38)
Lord, You know that I love You! (John 21:15)
My soul glorifies the Lord. (Luke 11:1)
Come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20)
Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening. (1 Samuel 3:9)
I praise You for I am wonderfully made!
Wonderful are Your works! (Psalm 139:14)
Do you have a “two-second” prayer to share? One of my favourites is simply, “Thank You, God!”
Blessings on your week!
