Virtual Summer Learning Program Early Childhood Educator

SNCDSB is searching for a collaborative, dynamic leader that supports student engagement, well-being and achievement within a Catholic organization.

The Summer Learning Program Team will be working over the next several weeks to ensure that the summer learning program offered by the Board addresses the student and system needs in the current virtual environment.

Work may be required of the Summer Learning Program ECE prior to the start of the program on July 4th so that she/he may cooperatively plan with the Summer Learning team to support the set up of classrooms and contact of families in order to deliver this virtual program. The program will be delivered within a virtual
platform for 2 classrooms with 2 hours of synchronous live instruction and/or individual student support and 1 hour for parent engagement and professional learning.

  • This is a term appointment from July 4th to July 22nd, 2022.
  • The rate of pay will be $30/hour.

Position Qualifications:

  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educator (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.
  • Minimum of one-year experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a full range of students, including students with special needs, utilizing specific skills and training.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators
    and outside agencies.
  • Ability to provide instructional, behaviour and student support.
  • Ability to use patience, empathy and understanding in developing and maintaining a rapport with
    students and in resolving problems or issues that may arise.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Current Pastoral Reference (if applicable)
  • Successful Completion of all Safety training courses
  • Must undergo a successful police record check
