Update on SNCDSB’s COVID-19 Vaccination Procedure for Employees, Trustees and Other IndividualsThe Superior North Catholic District School Board of Trustees voted to rescind the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Employees, Trustees and other individuals and lift the mandatory requirement for staff to be vaccinated, immediately. This move is in line with the provincial direction on health and safety measures. To date, more than 98% of the Superior North Catholic District School Board staff are fully vaccinated. In addition, our students continue to be vaccinated at high rates. The most important step we can take to ensure the health and safety of all community members is to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

People who are vaccinated are less likely to get infected with COVID-19 and spread it to others. While there is a chance that people who are vaccinated may become infected with the virus, they are much less likely to experience severe illness and become hospitalized. We strongly recommend the wearing of masks while in our schools to protect each other from infections.

We will continue to monitor the local and provincial COVID situation and make changes as required.
