Spirit Week Activities at St. Edward Catholic School in Nipigon
The students of St. Edward Catholic School did not let the lack of March Break hinder their spirits! Classes from JK to grade 8 took part in an array of fun Spirit-week activities both online and hands-on, that were provided by the Superior North Catholic District School Board (SNCDSB), as well as by the many hard working and dedicated teachers and staff. In fact, this year has been the first in many that students were at school during St. Patrick's day, as March Break usually falls on this festive holiday. Therefore, many fun activities were planned celebrating St. Patrick's day, and students enjoyed every minute of it!
Students in Mrs. Fould's JK/SK class made beautiful hats and rainbows, while Mrs. Traintinger's JK/SK class engineered some fantastic leprechaun traps...wonder how many they caught?
Mrs. Currie's Grade 4/5 class painted adorable wooden bunnies which were generously made and donated by Carolyn and Tommy Williams. The class also participated in an action-packed St. Patty's Day scavenger hunt.
Mrs. Roxborough led the grade 1/2 class in a creative leprechaun writing task, and snow sculpting.
Mrs. Borg with her grade 2/3 Native as a Second Language class, weaved some beautiful baskets. Camilla John from Grade 5/6 participated in the weaving of a traditional colored bracelet for Native as a Second Language Class.
