Superior North Catholic District School Board would like to welcome Tymara Ruth to her role as Indigenous Community and Culture Officer.
Born and raised on Lake Helen First Nation, Tymara is a proud member of the Red Rock Indian Band and a passionate advocate for Indigenous education and land-based learning. With an Early Childhood Education diploma from St. Lawrence College, Tymara has dedicated her career to creating culturally responsive learning environments that empower the next generation. She has worked within the Lake Helen community, promoting education, Indigenous culture, and positive community values. As a lifelong learner, Tymara has held roles working with children and youth in childcare and elementary school settings.
In addition to her professional work, Tymara volunteers with the Nipigon Elks hockey team, at community events and in local schools, generously sharing her time and expertise to uplift the community. Tymara is deeply connected to her Indigenous roots. As a proud mother of two, she continues to be inspired by the Indigenous values and land-based teachings she grew up with, fueling her mission to preserve and share this rich heritage. She finds joy in the outdoors, being on the land with her family, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
Please join us in welcoming Tymara Ruth to her new role.
