The Superior North Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Deana Renaud as the new Mental Health Worker, effective October 27, 2025.

Deana brings with her a deep commitment to student well-being, a strong foundation in mental health care, and a passion for supporting children and youth through inclusive, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches.

Deana has her Masters Degree in Social Work and is a registered care provider with over two decades of experience. She brings a holistic, trauma-informed lens to her work and is dedicated to ensuring that mental health services are accessible, compassionate, and responsive to the unique needs of each learner.

Deana is passionate about fostering strong relationships with students, families, and community partners, supporting culturally relevant and land-based approaches to mental wellness. A lifelong nature enthusiast, Deana believes in the healing power of the outdoors and incorporates land-based practices and a connection to nature as central components of mental health and well-being.
