Superior North Catholic District School Board recognizes the importance of regular attendance. Studies show that children with regular attendance tend to feel better about themselves and about school.

  • Persistent absences affect school achievement and participation.
  • Starting in Kindergarten, too many absences can cause a child to fall behind.
  • Missing just 10% or 2 days per month (about 19 to 20 days of school per year) can make it harder to learn to read and perform in math.

In an effort to improve and maintain regular student attendance at all schools within the Superior North Catholic District School Board we are offering an exciting draw.

For the entire month of November each full day a student is in attendance they get an entry in the draw for an XBOX. This means if a student attends 15 full school days in the month of November, they will get 15 entries into the draw. If they only attend 1 full day they only get 1 entry into the draw.

The draw will take place the first week of December.

If you would like more information or to discuss how you may be able to improve your child’s attendance, please contact SNCDSB Attendance Counsellor, Michelle Edmond at (807) 627-0422 or [email protected]
