Students in Superior North Catholic District School Board's remote learning program participated in International Panda Day on March 16. Mrs. Cooper's Kindergarten Class and Mrs. O'Neill's Grade 1/2 Class joined together and with other students across the world to watch a live video feed on pandas, join in a live read-aloud and share their knowledge, wonderings and learning about pandas. They even walked a while in the paws of these gentle giants with their homemade panda masks!

Remote Learning students also partook in a beading workshop led by Andrea Favel, which offered lessons in indigenous culture, not to mention patience and perseverance. The students have a great start on their beaded canvas and enjoyed their time learning this new skill.

Remote Learning students from Kindergarten to Grade 4 pitted their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math skills (STEM) against the luck of the Irish, applying STEM process to design, construct and test a Leprechaun trap. Several great ideas were used to lure in a leprechaun, but did they catch one?
