On Monday, December 7, 2020, the Superior North Catholic District School Board (SNCDSB) held its annual election of the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board. Judy Wawia, First Nation Representative, was acclaimed Chair of the Board and Amanda Monks, representing the community of Terrace Bay was acclaimed Vice-Chair of the Board.

The term for the Chair and Vice-Chair is for a period of one year, commencing the first Board Meeting in December.

Other Trustee members are: Kristy Lachance (Manitouwadge), Hugh McCorry (Marathon), Lawrence McParland (Schreiber), Marline Ilijow (Nipigon), Shirley Jean (Red Rock), Lilliana McPherson (Longlac) and Chereyl Marino (Geraldton and Nakina).

We are blessed with their enthusiasm, encouragement and dedication to our students and staff throughout the Superior North Catholic system.

The Inaugural meeting was preceded by a virtual liturgical service. Thank you to Father Terry Sawchuk for the beautiful virtual service.

At the conclusion of the Inaugural session, a regular board meeting was held, in which the Trustees settled their committee responsibilities. The Superior North Catholic District School Board looks forward to continuing to serve the interests of all our students, parents and communities.
