Superior North Catholic District School Board is pleased to welcome Sarah Clowes as our new Vice Principal at St. Edward Catholic School this fall. Additionally, Sarah will have system portfolio responsibilities connected to technology and pathway planning.

Sarah Clowes has a Masters of Education Degree in Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University. Sarah has a number of additional qualifications including a Specialist in Special Education and Mathematics and has completed all requirements for her Principal’s qualifications.

Mrs. Clowes has been working at the system level as the Technology Enabled Learning Teacher contact for Superior North Catholic District School Board since 2017 supporting all students and educators under the strategic priorities of Focus on the Future and Academic Excellence. Mrs. Clowes has a passion for learning and engaging in 21st century learning competencies alongside students and educators through the effective integration of technology and is also the current Chair of the SNCDSB system Ed Tech Team.

Sarah believes in a “strengths-based approach” to learning and leading and is committed to helping all students to pursue their interests and goals through individualized pathway planning. She is passionate about supporting experiential learning and fostering a curiosity of learning through providing students with rich, real world, hands-on learning experiences.

Mrs. Clowes is excited and eager to serve the students, staff and Nipigon community through her new role at St. Edward Catholic School in the fall. She is looking forward to being an active and caring member of the dynamic school community fostering a school environment of equity and inclusivity.
