Community Use of Schools

Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, in order to help protect all community members, the Superior North Catholic District School Board is extending the cancellation of Community Use of School permits until January 2022 and will inform all user groups on the status of reopening at that time.

Superior North Catholic District School Board continues to work with local Public Health staff to ensure our schools remain clean, safe and welcoming for all community members.

The Community Use of Schools initiative allows not-for-profit, and commercial organizations, to use school space outside of school hours. Not-for-profit groups may qualify for reduced rates if they meet certain criteria.

Application Steps for the Community Use of Schools Program

  1. Community Use of School permits and bookings are done through our new online reservation system, eBASE.
  2. Prior to use please watch the tutorial that is available on the eBase login page and familiarize yourself with the SNCDSB Community Use of Schools Policy and Procedure. If you require any help or have further inquiries throughout the booking process, please contact the Community Use of School Outreach Coordinator Erika Bryson.
  3. Submit your application for Community Use of Schools through the eBASE system. The on-line booking system will determine if the school facility is available.

*Please note that proof of insurance will be required before your permit will be approved*
