Dear Parents/Guardians:

As you are now aware COVID restrictions have been eased as directed by Dr. Kieran Moore and the Premier of Ontario. Mask wearing is optional but we continue to provide masks for those students who want to wear them. Cohorting and physical distancing will no longer be required indoors, outdoors or on school buses. As well COVID-19 case information will no longer be disclosed to families.

Students are encouraged to self-screen daily before attending school using the Ontario school screening tool until further notice and are expected to continue to isolate if appropriate. Please be advised that rapid antigen tests will still be available for all symptomatic staff and students. These tests can be picked up at any of our schools.

COVID-19 is still evident in our province and we remind our parent community that if your child is not feeling well and/or shows any symptoms of COVID, to keep your child at home so as not to spread infections among their peers or staff. We continue to promote hand hygiene and enhanced cleaning within our schools, in addition, we have improved ventilation systems to help keep your children safer.

Thank you to all our parent community for your cooperation and support during the last two years, we know it was not easy for you or your children. Let’s continue to move forward together to provide your children with a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Maria Vasanelli
Director of Education
