Summer Learning Program Logo
Virtual Summer Learning Program 2023

Registration is now open for our Superior North Catholic District School Board Virtual Summer Learning Program. The three-week program will begin on Tuesday, July 4. Each day, students will connect with a teacher for 2 hours of synchronous learning. The program will focus on numeracy and literacy skills and learning real-world STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

The Grade 5 - 8 students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Geraldton and Our Lady of Fatima School in Longlac had the experiential learning opportunity of woodworking. Karly Baker, Math Lead for Superior North Catholic District School Board facilitated a woodworking workshop that was grounded in mathematical thinking and modelling. Students were first required to select their woodworking project of either a small chest or a birdhouse.

St. Martin Catholic School Trick or Eat Halloween Bingo campaign

On November 4th, St. Martin Catholic School in Terrace Bay presented the North Shore Harvest Food Cupboard with non-perishable food items and donations. The food items and donations were collected as part of our Trick or Eat Halloween Bingo campaign. Students and Staff were encouraged to bring in a donation to help support our local food bank. This year we collected 42.4 kgs of food and $345.00 in donations.
